*HIV/AIDS Fashion Show*
December 2008- The Essence of Style and Phyre-Arts will co-coordinate a HIV/AIDS awareness Fashion Show in the Month of October. Join us as we raise awareness and funds regarding the pressing HIV/AIDS epidemic within our country. The fashion show will showcase up and coming designers as well as featured dance selections. If you have ever been to a Phyre-Arts or an Essence of Style event you know this event will NOT be one to miss.

*Obama Reception and Fashion Show*
Sept. 25th, 2008- In The Essence of Style Upcoming Events we will be co-coordinating an Obama Reception and Fashion Show with Young and Powerful for Obama and The Talented Tenth Society. The event's purpose is to bring together the young and powerful constituency within our community. The event will Inspire, Motivate, and Unify our community to take part in this historic political campaign. The reception will feature various visual artists, and a fashion show showcasing various Obama wear in support of the Obama-Biden Campaign.

July 2008- Presenting: "Muse" an event purposed to celebrate, inspire, and unite creative minds in the worlds of fashion, art, and music. The word Muse is derived from the ancient Greek sisterhood of goddesses. They were said to embody the arts and inspire the creation process through song, writing, and dance.
"Muse" will be the first of a series of events that will showcase the burgeoning fashion, art, and music scene from the District and beyond. Various Fashion Designers, Boutiques, Visual Artists, Musicians, and Media will be present showcasing their work.
"Muse" will be the launch of "The Essence of Style", a styling and wardrobe consultation company. It will spotlight Scheme Magazine, which serves to educate, inspire, and assist the hip-hop community with social issues and will also introduce the world to the "National Society of Soul", a lifestyle Brand geared towards the arts.

April 2008- I am pleased to announce the launch of the Essence of Style website. I have launched this site as a way to provide a central location for samples of my work and information about Essence of Style and myself. The site will not only include samples of my work and portfolio, but will also include news on events the Essence of Style will be partcipating in, as well as updated blogs on my experiences as I take this journey through the world of styling, art, and music.
